Internship: Residential Heat Losses and Heat Pump Dimensioning

At Luminus, our purpose is to build a CO2-neutral energy future. Heating is the main source of emissions for residential customers, which is why we aim to assist our customers in moving away from fossil fuels and transitioning to heat pumps.

As Heat Pump dimensioning Intern, you will be assisting in improving the accuracy and comprehensiveness with which we can help our residential customers decarbonize their energy consumption.

Your Daily Tasks

• You familiarise with and understand the functioning of our heat pump remote dimensioning tool
• You update and verify the accuracy of technical data within the remote dimensioning tool
• You translate technical information into our heat pump data, ensuring clarity and precision
• You review and analyze technical documents related to heat pump projects.
• You assist in establishing a database for hydraulic schemes per brand and maintain a comprehensive list of accessory kits.
• You collaborate on determining the appropriate accessory items for different operational scenarios.
• You provide support in adjusting the remote dimensioning tool as needed, particularly in relation to connections to quotations.

Your profile

• You are pursuing a master's degree in mecanical, civil or thermal engineering or a related field.
• You have a strong understanding of energy systems, thermodynamics and engineering principles.
• You are proficient in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is advantageous.
• You are detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• You can work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• You have passion for sustainability and renewable energy solutions.
• You are comfortable working with the Office 365 Suite, especially Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
